1. Do you have any pets? What are their names? (I like to know about people’s pets.)
Yes I do :) I currently have 3 pet rats, a Syrian Hamster and a Roborovski Hamster. In order of these photos, the top two guys are Severus (Sev) and Kingsley (Kingu), next is Bear (his official name is Lupin but we’ve called him Bear forever and thats what he answers to, so Bear it is!), next is Bun and lastly is Miss Sprite de Lint!
2. Top 5 places you want to visit.
I’d love to go back to Tokyo, visit Greece, New Zealand, Canada, India (the thought of India makes me nervous because it’s supposed to be very intense, but I’d also love to go)
3. What kind of phone do you have?
An Iphone 4S I think? I can never keep up with the models! Here is my awesome case!
4. Favourite element? (earth, fire, air, water)
I always find this question really difficult to answer because I honestly love them all for different reasons. I think my favourite would either have to be Earth or Fire, I really don’t know which I prefer between those two!
5. Do you collect anything strange? (or anything normal I suppose)
Trying to think of what I collect right now! I guess the strangest thing I collect is black and white painted sort of ugly but totally awesome wooden animals.
Guy on the left is just called Geometric Owl and I love his goofy face! Guy on the right is Chang Chang Babatu, I got him on a trip with my best friend and I have no idea quite why we called him that, but it is what it is! I also always find these at 2nd hand shops or carboots for really cheap, GO was 10p at a carboot that I went to with my Papa one year, CCB was 50p.
I also collect different varieties of Mint!
6. What book(s) have you read multiple times?
Kitchen and Goodbye Tsugumi by Banana Yoshimoto, Dance Dance Dance by Haruki Murakami, The Time Travellers Wife by Audrey Niffeneger. Kitchen in particular I’ve read many, many times and could read many more, I just adore Yoshimoto’s style of writing, I recommend it to everyone!
7. Where do you buy most of your clothes?
Charity Shops / Thrift Shops really, I used to buy a lot on Ebay. I totally need to sell a bunch of my clothes!
8. What fictional character(s) do you emotional attachments to?
I am pretty much in total LOVE with FemShep from the Mass Effect series, especially my boyfriends Shep who is called Hannah and is just so badass, also Jennifer Hale’s voice melts my insides into goo. I love everything about FemShep, shes tough but also vulnerable at times, sweet, sassy, takes no crap and demands respect. Everything great!
I also have a major soft spot and still a deep love for Jansen Friedh from the video game Lost Odyssey. He is such a funny character and I don’t quite know what it is, but again I love his voice.
I also still have a soft spot for Tidus from Final Fantasy X, the game I was completely obsessed with in my teens. Everyone seems to hate on him and find him annoying, and I get it, but I always defend him because I find him relateable and honest. Embarrassing confession time, when I was a teenager I always renamed him Gackt and I had SUCH a crush on him.
For books, I have a real thing for Brienne from Game Of Thrones. I just feel so much sympathy and love for her, I want to hug her and tell her she’s amazing. I totally ship Jaime / Brienne. I also love Cersei, no shame… actually I just love Lannisters, for all their faults I enjoy reading about and watching them. Also, a little bit off topic, but I have a soft spot for Jack Gleeson who plays Joffrey Baratheon. I DON’T like Joffrey, but I think Jack is so sweet and I just feel protective of him because of all the people who seem to think he IS his character when he’s not and pretty much everyone always says how sweet he is.
Also Weetzie Bat, Cherokee & Witch Baby from the Weetzie Bat books by Francesca Lia Block. Especially Weetzie and Witch Baby, I just love the honesty of how they are written, the magic and the rawness, how they feel like real people.
9. Favourite myth?
My brain went totally blank with this! Right now I’m working with Hecate so I’m really interested in all of the mythology surrounding her.
10. TV shows you’re watching right now?
Supernatural (we’re up to Season 8, my boyfriend has total love for Mischa Collins, whenever he comes on screen his eyes light up!), Deep Space 9 (I love everyone pretty much, but Sisko makes me laugh so much and I love Kira especially)
I’m also watching Bob’s Burgers which I think is really funny, and I wanna start Downton Abbey.
11. Favourite historical figure?
Nicholas Culpeper, an English Herbalist from the 1600’s. I can’t even define what I love about him so much, just the combination of his extreme grumpiness, his massive rants, and the fact that he wanted to help people be able to treat themselves with the plants of the land.
